It’s A Tower!

We visited the Giraffe Centre where Rothschild giraffes (one of three types of giraffe in Kenya) were bred after near extinction due to the development of their land in East Africa. It was a fun morning of feeding and learning about these adorable, gangly giants. We felt lucky we could just show up in an uber and hang out for a little while. The famous Giraffe Manor is also here but since we felt like locals (my definition of local in Nairobi widely includes anyone who doesn’t walk around in fancy safari gear) my sense was the experience seemed underwhelming. We learned a lot of animal trivia during our stay in Kenya but one of my all-time favorites is that a group of giraffe is called a tower. https://www.giraffecentre.org/
