See You In Korea!

A few days before Chrissy, Senol and Alexander visited us, Alexander told a neighbor he was going to visit us…in Korea. So here we are in Croatia, having the time of our lives, finally reunited after more than a year.

They arrived to much fanfare in Dubrovnik and from there we spent two weeks exploring the Croatian coastline ending up in Zadar. We jumped off cliffs, paddle-boarded to the most beautiful places, biked around and swam in amazing lakes, drove ATVs to World War II tunnels, explored an endless number of walled cities and the castles within, tubed behind the dinghy, celebrated two birthdays and admired all the sunsets.

From Croatia, the Akays flew to Turkey to visit Senol’s family before returning to meet us in Bari, Italy for the second part of their trip. It was a rough sail down the coast to Brindisi but they did great and we explored a bit of Puglia and ate all the food.

We took hundreds of photos and since each speaks a thousand words, I’ll leave it to the feature-length film to tell the story. There really aren’t words to describe the joy of being with them and how difficult it is to be apart. So this video is a love letter to my sister and the two incredible people that get to hang out with her all the time. We love you all so much! Please come back soon!
